  1. He is having a bad hair day:) I love the details and the well chosen background fade. Posted 13 years ago
  2. Istvan, I tried a meagre macro myself, 'Just fly away'. Not easy at all:)
Just fly away It was very difficult to macro this fly, so I dazed it a bit and afterwards it flew away. No animals were hurt during this shoot;)<br />
Btw is he sticking his tong out to you? Calliphora vicina,Geotagged,The Netherlands, fly, macro

In an earlier post you told me you often prepared your macro subjects (though not in this photo I guess). How do you do that without them cramping up?

  4. How do you progress in preparing them for micro? I tried to use gas but that did not 'work' very well. Posted 13 years ago
  5. I think your fly is death. Posted 13 years ago
    1. Yes, I thought so too, but he recovered after some 10 minutes. I put him on the window sill outside and after a view minutes of fresh air it flew away. It certainly looks cramped all over. I noticed because of its breathing in the end, I saw its tong moving and later on it flipped from its back again like a healthy fly. Thanks for the chloro hint. Posted 13 years ago
