  5. Ah... you're sure you didn't hurt the fly? He looks a bit dazzled ;-) Harry says you can also use a bit of glue instead of a newspaper - just kidding! Nice one. Posted 13 years ago

  7. I did not stack photos (actually I have never done that), yet for enough depth of field I selected f10. I tried F22 but by then the fly was awakening from me sleeping charm;) Posted 13 years ago

  9. Well, Ludo, that's a hell of a fly macro! I did a fly myself this afternoon with my reversed lens, but it couldn't compete with your great shot! (I'm glad that I still had the rosebud...) Posted 13 years ago
  10. Thanks Jeroen and Gernot! I am curious as to what the future brings with your macro shots, njoy the evening. Posted 13 years ago
  11. Nice macro Ludosak. 13sec exposure...what a luxury! Till now I have only taken macro pictures of insects which where ready to fly away. I need to try this way too some time. First kill/daze an insect and then put it in front of my tripod mounted camera. Posted 13 years ago

"Calliphora vicina" is a member of the family Calliphoridae, which includes blow-flies and bottle flies. These flies are important in the field of forensic entomology. "C. vicina" is currently one of the most entomologically important fly species because of its consistent time of arrival and colonization of the body following death.
