  1. Wow, Joost, wel spotted and F11 well chosen (my macros often lack the light for F11, or lack good timing on my part)
    Are they large?

    1. I was lucky that there was very bright sunlight, I don't think it can get much more bright. I also increased the iso to 400 to enable a smaller aperture. It is a bit of a trade off. Higher iso allows more d.o.f. but decreases the sharpness. In this case I am satisfied with both. The shutter speed was chosen by the camera, maybe the photo would still be fine at 1/125s but I don't know.
      This beetle is about 2cm to 3cm long.
