
Graphium Sarpedon Luctatius - common Bluebottle
Occasionally you are lucky enough to catch a Bluey mud puddling, but so shy that I could not get close. I tried lying down in the mud and waiting, but he would not return until I had left.
Mud puddling is mostly done by the males. They suck up the nutrients and deliver to the female during mating.
Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.
