Name Unknown This is one for the members here that like to do determination.<br />
It has been on quite a bit of determination sites and nobody knows what this is. I have a lot of books on determination but this one is not in one of them. The only thing i can say about it is that there where hundreds of them on a Platanus tree but not on any other tree close to the Plantanus (so maybe it can say something about the species).   1. Definitely a fly and it has a look of a robber fly. The antennae are wrong for asilidae, also the mouth is a sucking pad.
