Dull green and lively white I encountered this scenery when walking our lovely Labrador Max.  Only visible in very humid hours of the early morning these spider webs massively dot the hedge of a nice house. Each of these webs has a dent in it with a tiny door at the bottom for the spider to hide behind. Waiting, hungering, ready for action.<br />

  1. Does anyone know the species of spider that weave these webs? I have read an interesting newspaper article on these spiders a few years ago but forgot their name. Any clue? A taxus is the base of these webs in this shot. Posted 13 years ago
