Phasmatodea – Stick Insect

A rare find for me. I just haven’t learned to spot these splendid creatures.

I am including three images, because there are distinctive features that should help for an ID; the horizontal eye stripe the lateral head stripe, lack of teeth on the fore-arms, the slight markings of a body lateral line.

I had no luck searching for an ID, perhaps someone out there can do better.

Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.
