Hiding under some firewood in an outer urban back yard.<br />

Bark Cockroach -Male (Laxta granicollis) An Australian native, this reddish brown very flat cockroach was about 25 mm long. The wings had a beautiful venation. The thoracic "shield" had a semi-lunar anterior margin which was slightly paler in colour.<br />
The females are wingless and look like trilobites. as can be seen here.<br />
