Does my abdomen look big in this leather? (Rutilia sp.) These are very large flies with extra large abdomens yet, in spite of that, they move quite quickly through the air, You really know it when they crash into you by accident. There are an extraordinary number of species, most much more colourful than this leathery one, but most are still to be described properly. Tachinidae family. Body length about 18mm.<br />
