Unknown paropsine (Paropsisterna sp.) About 10mm long found on eucalyptus leaf in an outer urban nature reserve with a sparse mix of grasses, small eucalyptus, acacia, kunzea, pomaderris and others.<br />
Apparently this is as yet an undescribed species.<br />

Apparently this is as yet an undescribed species.

  2. This is species #38 by my code and has been seen in Tas, NSW, Queensland and one of very few in Port Moresby.
    It is very similar to sp#37 which is entirely pale and without the transverse apical saddle. It is a complex with possibly four species
    Sp 37 is identical by dissection but not by phenotype with sp#36 Paropsisterna laesa. which is green and found in NSW and Tasmania.
