Splendid Red Skinhead (Dermocybe splendida) After hoping to find these for a couple of years I finally found a single specimen under eucalypt trees next to a stream.
The photo doesn't do justice to the true colour which really glows vermillion all over. The top of the cap is a little darker.
Previously known as Dermocybe splendida.
About 50mm across, 65mm tall. Stipe slightly flattened near the base.
Public nature reserve.
