Green Seaweed ( Ulva sp.) The genera of sea lettuces also includes this filamentous delicate green seaweed. Whole fronds were made of thin green filmy flat bodies, making soft clumps on rocks. These were seen at the mouth of a river in the inter-tidal zone.  <br />
If nutrient level increases in water due to pollution, their growth increases to a &quot;nuisance&quot; level where they form green macroalgal blooms.<br />

  2. The web site I initially referred to is "under maintenance". So, I am unable to review this now. I might have to look for more fresh specimens and study the margins which are said to be toothed. Could I please leave it as U.rigida for now and get back to it later ? Posted 9 years ago
    1. I usually prefer to leave doubtful ones unidentified. It's easier to go back to them from the list.
