
Large black snout beetle, Masoala NP, Madagascar
Found on a fungi-covered fallen tree in Masoala NP, Madagascar. I don't recall the exact size, but it was fairly large for a snout beetle, maybe 2-3 cm (1 inch). It is overall black, with clear white stripes across the length of the body, along with some white speckles. Legs are white with black tips.
