    Given the location, I have some doubt in whether this species is correct. What makes you think this is a Rufous grasshopper? Did you use any reference? Posted 9 years ago

    @fchristant thanks for commenting. You are right. My initial search pointed towards a rufous, but now I did some more research. Not able to pinpoint the species, but it looks more like a desert locust. I will post a full length picture of side view and may be that would help us identify it. Posted 9 years ago
