  1. There are two similar species of starling with dark eyes - the Meves's Long-tailed Starling (Lamprotornis mevesii) and the Burchell's Starling (Lamprotornis australis). I'm not sure which one this is. One has a longer tail than the other, but the tail is missing here.

  2. The Cape starling has yellow eyes so it is not a good match.
