Pretty Stink bug Also known as &#039;shield bugs&#039;. Stink bugs are so called as they have glands in their thoraces between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul-smelling liquid, which is used defensively to deter potential predators and is sometimes released when the bugs are handled carelessly.<br />

I can't seem to identify this one other than Family Pentatomoidea

  1. It would appear that the 'horns' on the sides of the thorax would indicate this to be a Grass stink bug Veterna sp. Posted 9 years ago
