Brachypelma angustum-CostaRica Red Tarantula on the bedroom wall Good to be here, because I won't hear any eeek! or aiiie! from you.
So we were planning to go for a beer, which required that Chris got some clean shoes.
Up in the bedroom, I heard him shout LOOK AT THIS!!
There she was 12 cm of Tarantula. I am not used to sleep with this in my bedroom, so I called my friend Carlos.. ¿que hago?
Chris found an appropriate carton, about 50x60x40cm and declared. she doesn't want to go in there. I was in fits laughing when I saw a 2m bloke talk to a spider but I still managed to do the right thing and take a few photos. Chris coaxed her in with the help of a small carton and then she was transported to the garden. So far we have spotted two adult females, 2 babies, one male.
2. Story time. In 2007 we were in Costa Rica with a large travel group sitting at a porch at night relaxing from the travel day. The guide suggested to go look for tarantulas. People were expecting to first return to the house, grab some gears and prepare. But there was no need, the guide pulled one directly from under where we were sitting:
