  1. Promachus hinei is a very different looking species which is only found in North America so this is some other species of robber fly. Posted 8 years ago

      I did add an observation on Indian portal http://indiabiodiversity.org/observation/show/1749465 - looks like there is no further classification based few important aspects like the eye-colour, shape of abdomen etc

      1. There are too many species (about 500) from this family in India. Here is a book with 300 pages of descriptions and keys. I certainly don't have the time to read it.
