I am not able to Identify it based on the couple of photos I took last week. According to Fauna Europaea 4 species are recorded in Bulgaria: N. glauca, N. maculata, N. meridionalis and N. viridis<br />

  1. Great shot* They are very difficult to identify from bellow. Check this: http://www.wildlifebcn.org/sites/bcnp.live.wt.precedenthost.co.uk/files/files/AqBugsKey1_2.pdf - I've found some that appear to have the same underneath characteristics, the most common of fresh waters, Notonecta glauca. But is just a guess. A photo from the other side would help a lot. Cheers* Posted 9 years ago
    1. Thank you so much. I tried to catch one to make photos from the backside, but was not well equipped - I left my hand net at home and the next day the weather was awful. I shall try to visit the pond in the next days again. Posted 9 years ago
