  2. I have found a similar one in Rome as well but I am not sure if it is a P. muralis or P. sicula. Both seem to have a more spotted rater than striped pattern and I don't know what is the difference.

    1. I believe it is P. sicula as they have a bit more well-defined stripes than the muralis and the green colors on the sicula stay mostly on those stripes. It is quite difficult to tell them apart though. I know by the colosseum there are a bunch of P. sicula running on the ruins. I think you would be able to notice a difference. Posted 10 years ago

The common wall lizard is a species of lizard with a large distribution in Europe and well-established introduced populations in North America, where it is also called the European wall lizard. It can grow to about 20 cm in total length.
