      1. There are a few yellowish females. One is only found in Scotland so it is out. Ischnura elegans f infuscans seems like a possible ID, but I cannot be sure without the rest of the body.

          1. I don't think so, the stripes are not exactly the same and it doesn't have the yellow spots on top of the head between the eyes. If these are all the photos you have next time you should try to capture the tail too, it is important for ID (in this case we are looking for a spot on segment 8). Also the wings and the colour of the pterostigma can sometimes make the difference between two species.

            In this case it could be a red-eyed, but there is some uncertainty because I cannot see the tail.
