Equatorial Anole Dewlap (Anolis aequatorialis)
The male Equatorial Anole has a multi-coloured dewlap. I was fortunate enough be around when a couple of biologists with Tropical Herping were photographing species for a new book. Check out their website for phots far better than mine! ( http://www.tropicalherping.com/ )
Anolis aequatorialis is immediately recognizable for its multicolored dewlap, which is marbled with black. It also has a baroque combination of irregular patches, streaks, reticulations and a series of dark vertebral chevrons on a normally olivaceous background.
