    1. Tough one, I did some shallow searching but no match yet. Can we at least establish its main family, like is this a fly, wasp, etc? Posted 10 years ago
      1. I think it may be a sweat bee of some sort - link to come
        http://bugguide.net/node/view/174661 this information probably doesn't cover South America unless the species is present here too unfortunately. I was unable to, at least quickly, find information for these bees south of Mexico.

  2. Thanks morpheme. There are agapostemon and I think augochlorini species in ecuador. So I think sweat bee is right....unfortunately with the one photo before it flew off I am not sure if I can get closer to an ID Posted 10 years ago
