Juvenile Sparrow It’s always sad to see an animal killed by helplessness.  In the case of this juvenile sparrow (only 1 day old), and the unfortunate truth about nature, is that it’s not uncommon.  Young birds fall from nests so regularly that a simple ground survey would reveal the brutality of nature. On the other hand, this natural cycle offers scientists an opportunity to perform studies that may reduce the frequency of similar occurrences.
