  1. Thanks for sharing this photo. Note that in JungleDragon, members are asked to include basic details as part of the photo, therefore please consider the following tip(s):

    - Please give your photo a meaningful title and description. You can do so using the "Edit details" button below the photo. It is recommended to include basics like the name of the species and the location in the title.

    - You did not share any location info. You are asked to at least share the country in which the photo was taken, since this helps in identifying the species. You can set the country using the "Set country" button. Even better is to geotag the photo, which you can do using the "Geotag this photo" button.

    - You did not identify the species on the photo. To identify the species, use the "Identify species" button. If you do not know the exact species, please share what you do know such as the location and family of species so that others can assist in exact species identification.

Note that by sharing your photo with more complete details, it will show up in the species browser, the global wildlife map and in search. It helps people find your photo much better, plus it delivers a far more educational photo. Check out our photo sharing tutorial for more information:

    1. Thank you. I am having a hard time even figuring out this site. It seems to never load or it freezes. I just gave up on it. Posted 10 years ago
      1. That's weird, I've never had that complaint from anyone. Care to share some more details on your system, network situation, choice of browser? Posted 10 years ago
        1. On a slow internet connection it can be really annoying. I have experienced it sometimes when I am not at home. Posted 10 years ago
          1. True, on a slow internet connection most websites load slowly. I regularly check and measure on slow connections across the world, also on mobile devices, and JungleDragon performs relatively well then, in fact far faster than comparable photo sites. That doesn't mean its fast on a slow connection in absolute terms, I'm just saying it's more of a connection issue. Posted 10 years ago
        2. I've just switched over to Firefox from Safari - for some reason (and it may be a plug in update I did as it started soon after) Safari has been really dragging on me, not just for Jungle Dragon, but very noticeably here - yesterday I couldn't get the geotag map to work at all, and images were taking an ice age to appear, which is why I've defected. Firefox doesn't seem to be having any problems. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
          1. Interesting, is this Safari on Windows or Mac?

For me, Firefox is my default browser (on windows), even though both Chrome and IE11 in fact are faster, both in general and for JungleDragon specifically.

Images should never be really slow from the USA, since they come from an Amazon data center in the US. If they load very slowly, likely something else is going on.

          2. Safari on Mac. I'm sure it's on my end. I was messing with plug ins and settings it get a video service that our library offers to run and I think it may have done something. I think there was also a recent flash update that might be involved. I think the bottleneck is on my machine too. Firefox is working fine though, so I haven't been too worried. Safari is doing just fine on my iPad right now. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
