Sirkeer Malkoha, Yala NP, Sri Lanka
I'm very happy with this spotting, as there are only 3 species of the Malkoha in Sri Lanka, all three relatively uncommon to see. There's the blue-faced Malkoha photographed by John:
This Sirkeer Malkoha adds the 2nd one, and the rarest of all, the Red-faced Malkoha will be shared at the end of my sri Lanka set, to make the Malkoha trilogy complete :)

The sirkeer malkoha or sirkeer cuckoo , is a member of the cuckoo order of birds, the Cuculiformes, which also includes the roadrunners, the anis, and the Hoatzin. It is a resident bird in the Indian subcontinent.
