Blue-faced malkoha, It kept on jumping behind the trunk, so this is the only 'in focus' shot i got... :/

          1. Hehe, well good luck with that. My understanding is that they only live in the rainforest area of Sri Lanka, only a few hundred of them, and very hard to photograph. Posted 10 years ago

The blue-faced malkoha is a member of the cuckoo order of birds, the Cuculiformes, which also includes the roadrunners, the anis, and the Hoatzin. It is restricted to Sri Lanka and southern India. The blue-faced malkoha is a bird of open forests and scrub jungle. It nests in a thorn bush, the typical clutch being two, sometimes three, eggs.
