  1. This seems to be the same species so the same references apply. Although it is the same genus, Epilachna varivestis is an American species therefore it is not likely to be found in Indonesia and it has more spots anyway. Do you have a top view, it would be good to see all the spots?

    1. Well it is not easy to identify insects because there are so many different species and many of them can look very similar. All species however have a certain distribution range and they are not found in other parts of the world as it is the case with Epilachna varivestis which is only found in America.
