
Comber
Is a yellowish-grey or reddish fish, with 7-9 brown vertical bands on upper part and a few yellow or orange longitudinal lines on sides of head. Size: to 40 cm
Habitat: benthic on the shelf and upper slope to about 500 m, on rocks, Posidonia beds, sandy and muddy bottoms.

The Comber is a species of fish in the family Serranidae. It lives in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and the Atlantic coast from the British Isles to the Cape of Good Hope, including the Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands.
