  1. hi Binil, do you know which species of snake this is?

Note: I deleted the photo you uploaded with the couple at sunset. It has nothing to do with wildlife, which is the focus of this website. I hope you understand.

Final tip: separate tags with a comma, hashtags do not work here.

    1. I think this is a bamboo viper and I identified it because the species ID was disabled. Something strange happened though, there are 2 entries for this species in the database and 2 species intros respectively and I cannot find any difference between them. Could you check this, maybe you can find out why it happened. They should probably be transfered to one of them and the other one should be deleted. Hopefully it won't happen again.

      1. Thanks for reporting this. This one needed a thorough cleanup. Besides the 2 you mention, there was a manually created one, and one more, which has quotes around the binomial name. Next, specie synonyms (which are used to map a search term to a species id) where pointing to different records. It should be cleaned now. Posted 10 years ago
        1. OK. If you go to the alphabetical species list there is a number of species on top of the list which either start with an interval or have quotes around the name. I don't know if there are duplicates there or not. Posted 10 years ago
          1. I fixed those, they had spaces or quotes around their name, they were however not dupes. Posted 10 years ago
