I have a hard time with the white ones - aside from Ramaria Stricta, which is a little distinctive, there's quite a few that are very similar - it seems like you need to look at the stem underground, the insides, crush them for their smell and to see what color they bruise, and other things to even start to ID them. I would usually rather leave the plant alone than pick it just for an ID and often I am hiking in places where picking is prohibited too, so taking a sample isn't even possible. I can take a guess, but I think that it would be at best, always a guess. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
