Darkling Beetle

Darkling beetle of some sort… I'm not sure if I'll be able to determine exactly which one though. Lol… there's 1400 species in North America, most of them in the west…

    I think this may just be right… the person who posted this to bug guide seems to know their beetles and my beetle has the pointed pronotum that they point out as being a defining factor for this species of beetle.

    1. It doesn't look like a good match to me. Besides, the distribution range doesn't match - this species is found in California.
