    1. Oh yes, I have learned the hard way!
      A little tip for anyone who is as ill informed as I was, if you touch a hairy caterpillar or a prickly pair and it itches like hell...do NOT try to wash it off. instead, rub your hands (or whatever) in dry mud and any remaining bristles, use the blade of a knife to scrape them off.
