  1. Fantastic! What an extraordinary insect. Please tell us that you know what this is? Posted 10 years ago
    1. I have been looking for an id but it is proving quite difficult, it may be a type of leaf beetle but it was unusually large (about 2cm long). Any help would be appreciated. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
      1. I'll see if I can submit this to a determination group somewhere later today. Posted 10 years ago
      2. Possibly this is a Fungus Beetle, check out this stream:

        1. Thanks, maybe a Pleasing Fungus Beetle though that is still a large grouping. Posted 10 years ago
            1. Good work Wildflower! It is very similar except that this one lacks the red border stripe so I would think this is either a sub-species of paykulli or something in the same genus. I'm okay with id'ing it as paykulli for now. Posted 9 years ago
              1. That red border line is bugging me too, there are very few references for the species in this genus. Posted 9 years ago
  2. How about Doryphora punctatissima? Posted 2 years ago
