  2. I am afraid this is not Triscolia ardens. I am in the middle of ID investigation of a similar species captured in Greece, which I am going to upload shortly. The abdomen coloration of T.ardens is opposite - the first part is black, and the rare half is orange. Further it has bluish wings, but this one brownish. This is most probably Ammophilia sp., but still cannot identify further. Having in mind that this one is captured in America, most probably they are different species. The investigation is going on.

  3. Thank you, the one on the link that you sent, has small hairs on the tail and looks brown, not orange, it has orange colors on the back and the wings, will be in touch with you, greetings ;) Posted 10 years ago
  4. This is some kind of thread-waisted wasp (Sphecidae). Ammophila spp. have a much thiner abdomen. This is either Sphex sp. or Podalonia sp. Posted 10 years ago
