Well, I can tell you it's a Leiobunum, also known as a harvestman, but this is one of those bugs that has a lot of similar species that often require microscopic examination to identify conclusively.. Interestingly enough these guys are not spiders, though they are in the same family. They are more closely related to scorpions than true spiders though. They are not venomous. Posted 11 years ago
  2. Thats correct it is indeed a Leiobunum. I have some micro shots of them on my profile. This looks like an interesting change to the ones I observe regularly. This subject seems to have rather large pedipalps. Do you know if the chelicerae (they are the small claw like hands, you can see a shot of them on my profile) are specifically large too?
