  1. Heliconius erato has white spots and stripes on the body while this one has red spots. I think it is a species of Parides, but it is hard to tell which one from this photo.

      I've tried it once again and I never succeeded :(
      I think it is a combination of the right light, angle and focus.

  4. I love the photo, the compound eyes are magical! My guess as to species would be Parides childrenae (female), but without a shot from above it is impossible to say for sure. Posted 4 years ago
