Spotted Orb Weaver spider (Neoscona crucifera) in my Kane PA garden. This beautiful spider was found in my flower garden. I was able to get several good photos and I observed how its web worked to capture prey. It seems to use some sort of "trip wire" so when something lands on the web, the vibration created alerts the spider. It is very interesting to watch.
