  1. This is either Tipula oleracea, ot Tipula paludosa. Difficult to say which one, but I'm inclined to think it is T.oleracea.

    1. According to this catalogue, Tipula paludosa is not reported from Bulgaria, but many others are and they look similar. It is probably not possible to discriminate between them without a closer examination of several body parts.

      1. I've checked also in meantime other sources (I'm trying to ID crane flies I captured few weeks ago) and finally gave up - it is very difficult to ID them based only on the photos. Posted 6 years ago
