  2. If this was taken in the Gunung Halimun National Park then it is quite possibly the Javan Hawk Eagle and looking at the colouring of its eyes, possibly a juvenile.
    If this is the correct ID then this is probably the most endangered raptor in the world.

      1. Yes, the Javan is highly endangered, you were very fortunate to see it, was it in the wild? I know they do have wild ones at Gunung. it is also the national bird of Indonesia! Posted 11 years ago
