    1. Thanks Ferdy, lovely birds, also saw 3 other albatrosses, so will likely add a couple of the others. If you want to watch Orcas, Bremer Bay is the place at this time of the year. We went on 2 trips, & on the 2nd, eventually picked up on 2 pods hunting a beaked whale, amazing power, cooperation and coordination. Awesome! Posted 20 hrs ago

The snowy albatross, also known as the wandering albatross, white-winged albatross, or goonie, is a large seabird from the family Diomedeidae; they have a circumpolar range in the Southern Ocean. It is the largest species of albatross and was long considered to be the same species as the Tristan albatross and the Antipodean albatross.
