Louisiana iris My lovely iris are in bloom once again in and around the pond. Here is one of the hybrid types growing there. <br />

Louisiana iris are a clump forming, evergreen perennial that grow from a rhizome. <br />
<br />
Originating from the swamplands of Louisiana in the USA. It is the official state wildflower. <br />
<br />
&#039;Delta Twilight&#039; (Mary Dunn, R. 1995).  &#039;Fat Tuesday&#039; X &#039;Cammeray&#039;. Bay View 1996. Honorable Mention 1999.<br />

Growing to 90 cm in height. <br />

Although this isn&#039;t a pure species, I thought it worth sharing here to appreciate the beauty that iris offers. <br />
