      1. could it be a cricket or are they classified the same as grasshopper?
        Also look at the images length of the antennae and the shape of legs change through the species.

        1. This is a katydid, the antennae are much longer. I think I found a better match. I can never be sure with these guys though.

The Blackish Meadow Katydid is a pale green katydid with broad dark brown stripe running along the back. The antennae are extremely long measuring about four times the total body length. The katydid produces a low buzzing sound during summer season. These katydids are most active in late afternoon and at night.
