Parasitoid Wasp - Tribe Glyptini I watched this wasp as it wandered around on a purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) plant. It eventually appeared to be ovipositing through the bottom of a leaf, which is shown in this photo. Afterwards, it moved to the leaf's uppersurface, apparently to inspect its work.
