Golden chrysalis exposed by flashlight Every day during our trip through Costa Rica, we particularly enjoyed being out and about at night &rdquo;armed&rdquo; with a flashlight. The &ldquo;back yard&rdquo; of the Casa Luna hotel near the Arenal Volcano gave access to small bushy patch of vegetation, through which a small stream passed. Not the most spectacular location, so close to civilization - but still teeming with life.<br />

Golden chrysalis exposed by flashlight

Every day during our trip through Costa Rica, we particularly enjoyed being out and about at night ”armed” with a flashlight. The “back yard” of the Casa Luna hotel near the Arenal Volcano gave access to small bushy patch of vegetation, through which a small stream passed. Not the most spectacular location, so close to civilization - but still teeming with life.
This chrysalis caught our eye because of its beauty and its metallic shimmer that makes it look almost golden.
