Egg sac? Parasitized/infected caterpillar? Cocoon? Egg sac? Parasitized/infected caterpillar? Cocoon?

I don't know what this is, but I'm leaning towards it being a fungal-infected or parasitized caterpillar because of the goo near the bottom and the elongated shape.
