  1. It might be in the family Aphrophoridae? It has some similarities to species in the tribe Ptyelini > Mesoptyelus, but none seem to be found in Papua.

    But....It could also be in the family Cercopidae and is similar to these individuals:

    My vote is for froghopper (Cercopidae).
