This is the second species of grass veneer I cannot ID. This maybe the different species I found before. What they have in common is striped black and white antennas.

  1. This is a tough one. I looked through some of the grass veneers and kept getting mislead by European species. The best I can tell is that this is either Agriphila sp. or Thaumatopsis sp.

    I lean towards Thaumatopsis because their antennae look striped when flat against the wings. Thaumatopsis fernaldella looks close. iNat shows it being in CA, but BugGuide does not. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/130055629
