Hydroid Colony - Dynamena pumila I&#039;m really glad that I didn&#039;t touch this because they have cnidocytes, which are stinging cells used to help catch prey. <br />
<br />
Dynamena hydroids live in colonies, made of individual animals called polyps, which that live on connected branches. These branches provide structural support and a pipeline to transport food to all the polyps in the colony. The polyps can retract into the individual cups during low tide.<br />
<br />
Habitat: Attached to seaweed; Tidal pool during low tide<br />
