    1. Thanks! That sent me in the right direction. Found these main candidates:
      - Cheilosia caerulescens
      - Cheilosia semifasciata

      Cheilosia semifasciata seems the better match, but hard to be sure.

        My top candidates were:
        -Cheilosia bergenstammi
        -Cheilosia pagana

        I came down to those two because the females have enlarged antennal segments like the fly in your photo. Other species may also have this feature too, though. Neither species looks like a match because the legs are different than those on your fly, and the coloring doesn't quite match.
